Make It a Day Trip
The Village is located on the south side of Panora, the oldest community established in Guthrie County in 1851. Panora, located in eastern Guthrie County, sits along the old Panora Speedway (now Highway 44), the Western Skies Scenic Byway (P28/Wagon Road and Highway 44), and the old Milwaukee Railway which is now the Raccoon River Valley Recreational Trail.
Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Middle Raccoon River Valley, rolling hills, impressive woodland areas, and Lake Panorama, Panora also has numerous Victorian homes, several historical buildings, and plenty of old-world charm to please any historical enthusiast.

Start your day at the local coffee shop for a delicious cup of coffee and a tasty, homemade sweet treat. Once you are fully-caffeinated, head to the Village to tour the many historical buildings that display the many exhibits and artifacts that are part of the Village's extensive collection. When it's time for lunch, choose from one of the many eateries in our community; there's a wide selection of cuisine that should please just about any taste. Afterwards, take a walk through our town's beautiful park on the square and then check out the unique boutiques and shops that line the historical downtown. Once you are shopped out, don't forget to end the day with a scoop of ice cream from one of the ice cream shops in town.
